For optimal burning, trim wicks to a ¼ inch before each light to avoid smoking and overheating the glass. The first burn should be long enough for the surface layer to melt to the edge to ensure even subsequent burns and prevent tunneling – we recommend 2 hours.
Always protect the surface on which the candle sits and keep it out of draft. Do not burn for more than four hours at a time. Do not leave it unattended.
When approaching the end of the candle, leave ¼ inch of wax unburned and ensure you are not burning the candle for more than 3 hours. The glass can get overheated without the presence of wax and break.
